Recology Inc.

The former Hay Road Landfill in Vacaville, CA is now Recology Inc.!

Recology is an integrated resource recovery company that provides collection, recycling, compost and disposal services to homes and businesses in the Western United States.  Judge Netting has protected the area surrounding Recology with protective containment netting, 200 linear feet by 15’ tall. Heavy Duty small mesh for small debris, custom built for Recology’s unique needs.

engineered to eliminate windblown litter concerns from 100 mph winds

The Vandenberg AFB Landfill is a 172-acre, Class III waste management facility.  The landfill accepts municipal solid waste and construction and demolition debris.  High winds in the area are predominately toward the east causing windblown litter concerns in the eastern landfill area.

The solution Designed and constructed by Judge Netting Inc. was  500 linear feet of 30 foot tall landfill blow fencing engineered for garbage containment in 100 mph winds at 50 percent solid.

This large public works project was bid with an obsolete and inferior wood pole design. Judge Netting submitted an alternate valued engineered design with steel poles.  This superior design still brought the project in under budget and much more importantly, provided a superior design with improved structural integrity and longevity.

Constructed with engineered steel poles and 80 percent solid fabric to provide privacy for landfill operations, the Pierce County landfill was completed by Judge Landfill Netting in 2010. This massive project of 850 feet of 30 foot site block barrier, addressed the concerns of local neighbors and government officials in Puyallup, Washington and Pierce County.

Consisted of 1,200 linear feet of 30 foot tall litter fence designed with steel poles. This project was engineered for 110 mph wind speeds and a 100 percent wind loading. Excavations for the foundations were drilled in solid Basalt with all work done by Judge Netting personnel.

Judge Netting has been constructing and maintaining barriers in Hawaii since 2001 and is the only Netting Contractor in the nation Licensed in the state of Hawaii.

As you can see there is no comparison in the quality of our materials, poles, and netting.
We take great pride in making all of our installations visually pleasing structures of the highest quality!

Over 3,500 linear feet of landfill containment barrier has been installed at the old B&J Landfill in Vacaville, California. This was engineered for 80 mph winds and up to 50% wind solid. Located in a persistently windy area, this successful project has significantly reduced trash cleanup cost. This barrier is being expanded as the landfill expands and the design includes the capability of relocating the poles and netting as needed at a future date. The netting has a full value 6 year warranty, is UV treated, and will withstand the extreme demands placed upon a trash retention barrier in a very windy climate.

The East Stockton Transfer Station is a transfer and recycling station and has been located at the same location for decades. Encroaching development, increasingly strict regulation from the City of Stockton, and environmental issues necessitated the complete enclosure of the entire outside sorting area of this facility. Judge Netting worked with this family owned company to design and construct an enclosure that would provide privacy, wind protection, ventilation, and dust and trash retention. The enclosure was engineered for local building department approval. This structure covered over one full acre with no mid-span support. According to the owner, “the structure exceeded our expectations and saved us nearly $800,000 dollars over a conventional enclosure.” This type of installation provides privacy and wind reduction on the sides as well as ventilation and 100% litter retention (note the netting top) without any center support poles to encumber equipment operations.

trash retention netting around the Mesa County Landfill

3,200 linear feet of 20 foot high trash retention netting built around the Mesa County Landfill to control flying trash. It was constructed in an effort to reduce the clean-up costs, appease environmentalist and government agencies, and keep litter out of a newly constructed composting facility. This project was engineered and designed for 50% solid and 80 mph winds with specially engineered foundations where the barrier was constructed on existing rubbish fill.

protective landfill netting also provides excellent dirt & dust containment

The Rio Bravo Generating Station is a co-generation facility generating electricity from natural agriculture by-products. When a glass production facility was built adjacent to the property, dust containment became an absolute necessity. A 40 foot high dust containment barrier was constructed to prevent the dust from leaving the site and entering the glass plant next door. Judge Netting designed an effective dust screen and the barrier was constructed without disrupting operations at the plant. The screen is 750 linear feet, is engineered for a 85% solid wind load, and utilizes a high strength fabric with numerous extra high strength horizontal supports. This barrier provides security, dust containment, and privacy and has eliminated the environmental problems plaguing the adjacent manufacturing plant.
